Happy Tip Tuesday! Today, as promised, I
will be talking about my packing tips and tricks. I thought this would be a
perfect tip for this Tuesday due to it being so close to the holidays and a lot
of you will be traveling to visit family and friends like I will be this
holiday. So lets jump right in!
Take account the weather-- the weather is essential to what you pack and
wear on your vacation, so take the extra time to look up how the weather is
gonna be during the time your there. Also since the weather is unpredictable at
times plan multiple outfits for different weather conditions.
Make a List-- since I tend to be a very forgetful person ,especially when I'm
traveling, this tip tends to help me out a lot. I like to make a list of the
clothing items I want to bring including accessories. This just helps me keep
organized and now I have a check list for when I'm packing
Don't over look the basics-- usually while I'm packing all of my fancy
dresses and cute blouses ,I tend to forget my basics like undershirts, plain
tops-- the fundamentals that you really build your outfit around. Then
I'm scrambling to find them ,borrow them, or sometimes I even have to go out and
purchase some. You don't want to forget these!
Take account to what you will be doing-- if your going to Hawaii and plan on
swimming you might wanna bring a swimsuit or if your traveling up north to
the mountains for some hiking you don't want to leave your boots behind. When
your traveling you wanna take into account the activities you'll be doing with
your friends and family. If you don't know, ask your kin or bring an outfit for
every occasion!
Bag it up-- using little drawstring bags or even Ziploc bags can be
essential for packing little odds and ends that can easily get lost in your
luggage like jewelry and hair ties.
When to fold and when not to fold-- folding up certain items can take up a
lot of space in your suitcase and, I don't know about you, but I like to have as
little luggage as possible while I'm traveling. What I like to do is roll up my
pants then zig-zag my tops and dresses. Then snake my belts on the side! Here's
the video that taught me and explains it a little better:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIk8v__Osm8
And that's it! I hope these tips help you. Look out for a post coming soon on
my travel beauty essentials and a little peek on what I like to keep in my carry
on purse and what purse I'll be using. Comment down below and let me know how
you like to pack and your packing process. I hope you have safe traveling this
holiday!
