Its Friday so that means it is time for another Fitness Friday post. Today, I wanted to talk about something that is hard for me, even when I am not on a health journey-- breakfast! My mornings are always so hectic during the work/school week that I would just rather sleep in an extra 15-30 minutes rather than try to make myself a healthy breakfast. So here are some quick, on the go breakfast ideas that I have been loving to make your mornings easier and healthier! My mornings are always so hectic during the work/school week that I would just rather sleep in an extra 15-30 minutes rather than try to make myself a healthy breakfast. So here are some quick, on the go breakfast ideas that I have been loving to make your mornings easier and healthier! 1. Muffins
Now I know what you are thinking. Nichelle, how are muffins quick and easy?! Muffins are super easy to prep by making them over the weekend before your week starts. Then, before you are about to head out of the door, you grab one and pop it in your bag or your mouth! I also love muffins because they are so many recipes you can make and you really can have a variety without getting tired of them and make them to suit your taste and/or goals of your health journey!
2. Smoothies
Now you guys knew this was coming! I love smoothies and think that are so awesome and once again you have that variety of flavors. You can add protein, energy boost, veggies, etc. The world is your blender! I shared a quick smoothie recipe in a past post that I have been loving. You just dump the ingredients in your blender, mix it up, pour it in a to-go cup, and be on your way. Takes 5 minutes or less and you have a delicious healthy breakfast that you don't even have to chew!
3. Yogurt & Granola
Last, but my favorite is yogurt with granola. I love buying pre-packaged Greek vanilla yogurt that comes in the disposable cups, dumping my favorite granola on top, mix it up with a spoon, and then heading out the door. Its super easy with no prep or really making anything and its been my go to for a really yummy and healthy breakfast on those super busy mornings when your running super short on time!
