I was gifted the Kat Von D true romance pallet in saint about two weeks ago and have been using it everyday for the past week and a half and wanted to share with you my thoughts!
PROS:
Packaging-- I really love the details of Kat Von D's packaging. For the most part, its a sleek black with pretty stencil engravings. It can get messy easily but its just as easy to wipe down and its really sturdy and non-bulky. The pallet open with a button, which I like because I find my dog, who loves being in my makeup, can't get into as easily as my other products. Plus I love the mirror this pallet comes with. Its also very high quality, so that's like an added bonus.
Pigmentation-- I really like the pigmentation on these shadows. They have a medium pigment and can be built up to be
really intense. This is really great if you are a beginner because then you have less of a chance to end up with crazy raccoon eyes!
Liner-- Although this liner is not as creamy as other liners I have tried, it does last a while and still glides on quite smoothly. Its really nice for your tightlne and waterline because it doesn't smudge as easily as other liners that I have tried and has a wonderful pigment.
Texture-- These shadows are really soft and go on really smoothly. I do find that the more glitter shades swatch on the hand a little patchy, but with the right brush they do look amazing on the lids.
CONS:
Color Range-- I found that since there is only one matte shade in this pallet, which happens to be a smokey brownish-gray, and the rest are shimmery shades, its not a complete pallet. I find that to get those transition shades and blending shades, I have to go into my naked 3 pallet. So it really isn't that all in one, travel friendly pallet. It does, however, come with amazing lid and highlight colors, and markets as a wonderful companion pallet. It does also transition from day to night really well because of both the lighter and darker, more smokey, shades it has.
Well that's it! Let me know if you have tried this pallet, or any other of the true romance pallets, and what you thought below. Also, I am really interested in checking out Kat Von D as a whole, so if you have a favorite product from their brand, pls let me know about it down below.
