As promised, here is my ipsy bag review for this month. I was really happy with this month's bag and can't wait to show you guys what I got!!
Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base in Submissive: I really liked this eye base. I tried the Smooth Criminal Powder from be a bombshell a couple ipsy bags back so I was super happy to see another product from this brand. I love the bronze-y, gold color; its a perfect complement for the more warmer toned looks I have been doing this fall. I usually apply it with my finger, but if I want a the color in a more concentrated location on my lid, I also use a fluffy base shadow brush to apply right where I want it. Its nicely pigmented, blends nicely, and looks great-- its a winner in my book!
Tarte Maracuja Oil: This is one of those ok products. One of those things that its not life changing, but not horrible either. I like that it is a thicker moisturizer so it really helps get my skin prepped for the Chicago winter winds and it only take 3-4 drops to get it all over your face and down your neck. So its okay.
You're So Fine Liquid Waterproof Liner in Glitterati : I am not really a fan of liquid liner in general, but I find this one to be pretty decent. Its really black and dries down to a really nice matte black with silver glitter. It is waterproof, like the name suggest, and it last on the lid for a good 8-10 hours. I think this would be perfect for the holiday and new years look so if you guys would like a look with this liner, let me know in the comments and I would be happy to do that for you all!
Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray : Now, I don't use hairspray in my hair, but this hairspray does do great double duty as a brow gel. I just take a brow brush like this one from real techniques, spray it down with hairspray and comb my brows into place. It helps whatever product I filled with my brows in last longer and is a great one stop shop for no makeup days when I don't want to do anything with them. Its not a product I will repurchase, I will probably just buy an actual brow gel, but it is a wonderful alternative for those on a budget whom already own a can of hairspray!
Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Colour in 124 Lady and the Vamp: First, lets take a moment and appreciate the effort and time it for Wet n Wild to come up with this fabulous name! I love cute, quirky names like that. :D As for the actually product, I do tend to really like chubby lip pencils-- the idea to merge lipstick with gloss should have been done a long time ago. The formula of this tends to be a little bit drying, despite the name, but I like the color and the way it looks on my lips. So its pretty good in my opinion
Well that's it! Let me know in the comments below what you got in your ipsy and any other monthly subscriptions that you guys get because I am defiantly looking to check out some more. I am thinking Birchbox and Nature Box, so let me know if you guys get those and what you think!
