Hey guys!,
I am here with a book review, which I haven't done one of these in a while, but it has been a new years goal to try and read more and lately I have been sticking to that. So let me know if you guys like these types of post (maybe videos in the future?) and I will continue to make these! Anyways, today xoxoReads is on . . . (imaginary drum rooooolllll) The Selection!

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon. But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks. Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.
I don't know what it is about dystopian novels, especially with love triangles, but they just make me go wild. So when the word finally got to me about this amazing series, I picked up the next day! I loved this book. It is fresh in the idea that the "New America" is not tyrannical (well it wasn't in the first book I don't know about the others yet) and it was really fun in adding this very romantic approach. Usually in dystopian books, romance is the back burner to fixing society like in Hunger Games and Divergent but in this book it really is the main theme so far and I enjoyed that. I am totally routing for Team Maxon, I think Aspen let his pride get in the way and he lost his chance with America. Plus I am pretty upset at America for just going back on Maxon so quickly when it is so obvious that they have some really deep feelings for each other! I am really liking this series so far and I would love to hear your feedback on it!
Let me know in the comments below what you think of this book or if you interested in reading it. I would be super interested in how they would turn this into a movie! Also, if you have read this book who is your favorite character! I am so in love with Prince Maxon!!
