Hello lovelies,
Today I wanted to a very important and slightly embarrassing post. I wanted to talk about what not to forget when you're traveling. I have learned most of these from experience, so I ask that since I am brave enough to share such horrible stories with you all, that we retain respect for each other and that you share some of your own travel mishaps in the comments below! :D
#1: Charging Chords
You really do not want to leave behind your charging chords. I don't know if you have noticed, be we are in the 21st century and we literally cannot survive without these because they are the connection to everything we hold dear! Phones, computers, ereaders-- will sit their and collect dust without a charging port. To make sure I don't leave these behind, I carry them in purse or carry on, or, if I do put it in my suitcase, I wrap them up and put them in a separate bag.
#2: Phone
I have actually done this before and I don't know how I survived. I left this in my car the day I left to go to California this past Christmas and didn't have my phone for 3 days. I had to get it ups shipped to me! (I know your shaking you head right now! Don't judge me : ) To make sure I never leave this behind again, I get a little case that holds both my phone and money so that way when Im changing wallets, I put my phone in there too! I would never leave behind my wallet and money, so its perfect = )
#3: The Basics (Fashion)
I basically do this all the time! I will forget small things like undershirts, belts, shorts to go under my dresses. You know the little things that make a huge difference. And those things you cant just go out and buy really quickly, so you defiantly don't want to leave those behind. To make sure you don't, plan out your outfits to the last detail. This way you wont leave anything behind, but you also won't over pack!
#4: The Basics (Beauty)
Once again, something I have experience with. I always tend to leave behind soap or my shampoo. Now this you can actually go out and buy but they're going to be at least double the price. Make a list and check it twice, then you can spend your money on the important things: little key chains and magnets that has the name of where you went in huge letters! : D
#5: Traveling Needs
Thankfully I have never done this, but you never want to leave behind traveling needs. Things like your passport or plane tickets-- things you need to have to actually get to your destination. To ensure that you never do, keep these items in a separate folder or bag in your purse or carry on and pack it the night before you leave. This way your not scrabbling to find it or leaving it behind the morning of take off!
I hope this helped you guys out! Let me know down below any of your travelling horror stories due to leaving behind anything, whether or not its on this list. Also, where did you guys go or are planning to go this summer? I am super excited about my trip and my birthday, so I am going a little over board. But I shall have some picture blogs and fun post about my trip coming after I come back and Ill make sure to keep you guys updated on instagram, twitter, and facebook..
