I don't know about where you live, but up here in Chicago--
its winter time! Which I'm super excited about. I just love the winter snow and
the holidays, but I'm not a big fan of the wind or frostbite. And I'm pretty
sure you aren't either (for those of us who aren't lucky ducks and live in picture perfect Cali) so I have a few tips for those of you who need to layer up, yet want to look fab while doing so!!
Long Johns- Thick long Johns keep your legs nice and warm. They can be
worn under you pants or replaced with thick leggings, tights, or stockings to be
worn under skirts and dresses!
Long Sleeves- Long sleeves are a great base for layering! They come in so
many colors, cuts, prints, and patterns there endless options to choose
from. They can be worn as a top or under your top. There are also long
sleeve dresses which are good for layering as well.
Button ups- Button ups are much like long sleeves but with buttons! They
also have endless options and can be worn as top or under your top. I like to
wear mine under sweaters with the collar peeking out.
Sweaters and Cardis- Sweaters and cardigans can be worn over your long
sleeve or button down keeping you comfy and warm. I love wearing oversized
sweaters and cardis for more comfy causal look.
Vest and Blazers- Vest and blazers can be worn, once again, over your top.
Vest tend to be sleeveless so to keep you arms warm thick long sleeves are
recommended as well as have a fur lined vest. Blazers are like a
jacket but more business casual like. They come in many cuts
and colors and tend to make a causal outfit more dressy.
Jackets and Coats-- Now this is given and a staple in everyone's fall/winter
wardrobe. Laying these two item together can automatically make you more warm
and ready to face the winter wind. I never leave my house without my hoodie and
trench coat.
Boots and Boot Socks- These two items are two things I would just die if
they weren't invented! I've been loving layering my boot socks with my knee high
boots or my black combats.
