Hey guys,
On New Years day, I wrote out my resolution and just last week I named by top 5 goals for the new year. I mentioned in that post the difference between a resolution and a goal-- resolutions are lifestyle changes. I wanted to help you guys tackle those bigger goals that are considered resolutions with some tips that I am going to apply to mine!
Tip #1: Limit your number of resolutions-- if you guys saw my resolution you realize that I have only one that falls under a really broad topic. I would recommend writing your resolutions like this and limit your resolution to 3 or less. Any thing else you can write as a goal. Remember resolutions are lifestyle changes.
Tip # 2: Break your resolution(s) down to subcategories-- breaking your resolution down into mini resolutions can make accomplishing your resolution much easier. For example my broad resolution was a greener lifestyle. I broke that down into greener beauty products and greener food.
Tip #3: Do your resea rch-- This is a key step into really actually keeping your resolution. Doing your research can really help you understand your new lifestyle easier and help the transition because you'll now a little bit more of what to do.
Tip #4: Transition over slowly-- Last but not least you want to transition over to your new way of life. Doing this instead of just flipping over right away can help you keep your resolution easier. For example, rather than throwing out every beauty product I own, when I use up a product I am going to replace it with a more natural, organic choice! This saves me money as well, which is always a plus!
