Hey guys,
My homecoming was on Saturday, which you would know if you follow me on twitter, instagram, or facebook. Sorry for spamming by the way, I was super excited. And I promise a get ready with me #xoxohomecoming edition post will be up sometime this week. It was supposed to go up Sunday, but I was suddenly swamped with work so I apologize for that being a little late. But I just wanted to talk about a couple tips I have for dress shopping for homecoming. I went dress shopping last weekend and had a couple things I would do differently and a couple things I liked so I wanted to share both and a few tricks I have to make shopping for your dress super fun!

Tip #1: Good Entourage
You want to make sure you take a band of people who know your style and what you want (no one needs a selfish entourage), but still a bunch who will give you their honest opinion so you won't go looking busted.
Tip #2: Dress Helper
Some dresses are just super tricky to put on, so therefore, bring someone your comfortable enough to be nude around to help you put those dresses on-- you might need two for emergency cases( I brought my mommie!)
Tip #3: Go Outside the box
I wanted a long red dress for my homecoming attire and ended up picking a lace, short nude number. So sure, you have those dresses that you want to try on, but if you see one that doesn't fit your criteria that you want to try on, go for it! You might find one you love even more than your vision.
Tip #4: There is more than one store
I went to 8 stores to find a pair of shoes to go with my dress! Trust me, if you don't find something you love in one store, there are plenty more!!
Tip #5: Be comfortable!!
Remember that you have to wear your dress and your shoes all night so find something that fits like a glove and feels good too!
Tip #6: You Can Have It Altered
I had to get a clip in my dress so that it would zip up all the way. If you find a dress that you love and just have to have you can have it shortened, extended, you can add da clip and make it perfect to the T.
Tip #7: Have fun
The shopping experience should be just as fun as the dance, so don't dwell to much on the little stuff and enjoy this time with your family and friends!
